Resources to Help Your Teen Flourish

Published almost 3 years ago • 1 min read

Hello Reader!

It's been a labor of love and our Flourish Coaching website debuted this week! I hope you'll check it out. Our goal is to provide resources to help your teen flourish as you move toward graduation, what comes next, and that first step into the world of work.

What you'll find:

  • My Readiness Quiz to determine if it's too early or the right time for your student to get coaching to work toward career clarity.
    • Each person who takes the quiz gets our downloadable and printable PDF of what to do when and a visual roadmap for the journey ahead.
  • A Resources Page with blogs, interviews, and more to, well, resource you for the journey.
  • Sign up for my Career Cues weekly newsletter....you're obviously getting it, but forward to a friend or time who will also benefit.

For my weekly curated resource, your student can learn from other students. Global Innovators Academy has a super cool program, but what I want to share is the outcome of the program which is a great resource for your journey.

Articles that are short reads, written by students for students, and inform on careers and the world. Access them here.

This week's Conversation Cue to use with your teen:
"What are 2 goals for this summer that will impact your future after graduation? How do you plan to achieve those? Is there anyway I can help?"

Thank you for celebrating the new website site! Have a great unofficial start to summer and Memorial Day Weekend.

My Best Always, Lisa

Something from Lisa I recently interviewed Luisa Rabe who has helped nearly 1,000 students get admitted to medical school. She provides great insight into what high school and college students can be doing to get clear on IF this is a good fit for them as well as what to pursue early to increase their chances at acceptance. If your student has considered any health related field, you won't want to miss her valuable insights. Watch or listen to our interview on the path to medical school here....

Something from Lisa I recently hired a new student intern....honestly, I wish I had time to hire more! Via, short for Olivia, stood out from the other applicants. Read this week's blog to learn how she stood out then share with your student to apply it to their own search for an internship or co-op. With so many leaving the work force and many open positions nationwide, I just have to believe the time is ripe for student internships. Get hot tips in this week's blog - read it. A Curated...
